Privacy Policy
Last updated: [date]
This policy explains what personal data Founder Expectation Index collects when you use this website, the Readiness Check, demo bookings and Horizon Planner, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Founder Expectation Index is operated by Louise Scanlon, Birmingham. For this policy, I am the data controller.
For any privacy question or request, email [privacy@thefounderexpectationindex.com].
What we collect and why
Waitlist sign-ups: your name and email address, so we can send the report you requested and, if you agree, occasional product updates.
Readiness Check: your answers, score and email address, so we can calculate your results and email them to you.
Demo bookings: the details you enter in our booking tool (provided by Meetergo), so we can arrange and hold your call.
Horizon Planner accounts: your login details and the planning information you or your company enter, so we can provide the service.
Our legal basis
We rely on your consent for product updates, on legitimate interests to respond to enquiries and run the website, and on contract to provide Horizon Planner to trial and paying customers.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We use trusted service providers to host the site, store data, send emails and book demos, and they only process it on our instructions.
How long we keep it
Workspace and planning data (proposals, goals, costs, teams and people records): kept while your subscription is active. When a subscription ends, your workspace becomes read-only for 30 days, and Company Admins can still download a full export during that time. All workspace data is permanently deleted 60 days after the subscription ends. A Company Admin can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
Billing and accounting records (invoices, payment records and the company details on them): kept for 6 years from the end of the relevant financial year, as required by UK tax and accounting law, then securely deleted.
Marketing subscriptions (waitlist and updates): managed separately and kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. Every update email includes an unsubscribe link.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
